Objectives
- To review the core language items covered in the unit
- To choose the correct form of the verb ‘to do ’ when given the personal pronoun (subject form)
- To use verb and noun collocations to talk about activities
Teaching Aids: Multi-Media
Teaching Procedures:
- Show some pictures to lead students to talk about what people do. Tell students that they need to select a suitable verb for each leisure activity .Remind them they need to remember which words go together.
- Ask more able students to work in pairs and check each other’s work . For less able students, check answers with the whole class . Let a student read out one of the sentences . Give feedback about why an answer is correct or wrong .
- Congratulate the high scorers Provide students with some similar exercises for further improving .
- Turn to Part A“What are they saying?”Work in pairs and try to complete the conversation between Amy and Sandy.
- Divide the class into pairs. Encourage students to correct each other’s work . Make sure that personal pronouns (subject form) are used correctly.
- Consolidation: Answer my questions according to Part A; Then work in groups of four to talk about someone’s day.
- Homework: Write what someone likes and dislikes.
