牛津英语7A Unit 1

教材分析及教学思路:

一、单元教学内容分析:本单元是以介绍自已为主线来学习带有be动词和do动词的一般现在时,,旨在激发初一新生对英语的兴趣和学习积极性,通过各种活动环节要让每一个学生都能开口讲英语。

一)教学目标:

1.学习带有be动词和do动词的一般现在时。

2.学会如何介绍自己并在不同场合向别人打招呼。

3.学习如何用英语提供个人信息和获取他人信息。

4.能写一篇文章向别人介绍自己。

5.掌握关于运动的词汇并加以拓展。

6.掌握一些重要单词及词组的用法。

二)能力目标:

1.培养多种阅读能力,如:scanning, using subtitles to predict content等,以适应平时生活中阅读的需要。

2.培养单元整体预习的能力。

3.培养日常交际能力及语言的综合运用能力。

三)德育目标:

通过本单元的自我介绍来培养与人沟通的能力,学会和他人合作。通过本单元的词汇部分,培养学生拥有良好爱好的意识,了解多做运动的好处。

四)教学重点及难点:

1.一般现在时的定义和用法。

2. 词汇、词组:1)be good at2)was/were born 3)love/like/enjoy doing 4)score for 5)play for 6)look after/take care of 7)live in/on

五)迁移与拓展:英语单词一词多义(多词性)归类;中文一词多英语表达方式归类。

六)本单元课时安排:(共八课时)

第一课时预习:了解本单元单词、略读Welcome to the unit &comic strip。

第一课时:教师本人介绍,学生间简短介绍,如何在不同时段打招呼,本书人物介绍。

第二课时预习:一般现在时。

第二课时:通过教师的自我详细介绍为主线教授一般现在时(系动词和行为动词,包括三单)。

第三课时预习:六位人物的介绍。

第三课时:Reading 整体教学、学生展示交流预习成果。

第四课时预习:Reading 部分的主要词组或难点。

第四课时:Reading第二课时。

第五课时预习:运动方面的词汇。

第五课时:vocabulary教学,拓展运动词汇,发掘运动的意义,引导学生养成良好爱好。

第六课时预习:报纸上寻找有关著名运动员的介绍。

第六课时: Integrated skills运动员介绍,能在听力材料中获取有用信息,交流预习成果。

第七课时预习:搜寻有用的课堂用语。

第七课时: 课堂用语学习等。

第八课时预习:整理自我资料。

第八课时: 学会如何写一份自己的介绍,复习一般现在时。

 

二、教学思路

第一课时

comic strip and welcome to the unit

Teaching aims:

(1)learn how to introduce oneself

(2)learn how to greet others at different times

Teaching steps:

Step 1

I first introduce myself to the class.

T: Good morning, boys and girls. I am your new English teacher. My family name is Fu, so you can call me …(let students answer it, and distinguish Mr./Mrs./Miss/Ms.)

T: Am I Mr. Fu/…?      Ss: No, you aren’t.

Step 2  

T: This is our first class. So I don’t know all your names. But let’s be friends, ok?

   Hello, my name is …/I’m …  What’s your name?

S: My name is …/ I’m …    (ask several students)

T: Are you A?                    S: No, I’m B.

T: Good morning, B.              S: Good morning, Miss Fu.

Step 3

Let Ss greet in pairs.  

Let Ss sing a song called “Good morning to you”.

Step 4

Teach B1 “Greetings” on page 7

T: 1. What do you say when you meet a friend at 7:15 a.m./suppertime/2:45 p.m./10:30 p.m.? (Teach Ss the expression about the time)   

   (Good morning/evening/afternoon/night)

   2. What do you say when you meet a friend for the first time?

   (Hi/Hello/…What’s your name?)

   3. What do you say when you meet foreigners (=people from other countries, not from China)

(Nice to meet you/How are you/…)

Teach comic strip on page 6

Presentation

T: I want to know more about you.(ask Ss)

   How old are you?

   Where are you from?

   Where do you live?

   Which school are you from?

   How many people are there in your family? Who are they?

   Which subject do you like best? /Do you like English? (food/sport/…)

   What is your favorite color/animal?

Do you like dogs?

Can you look after them?

Can you look after an e-dog?

Do you want an e-dog?

2. Play the tape.

 T: Who are making a dialogue in the tape? / Who are talking in the dialogue?

Are they new to each other?

Do they know each other?

(This is the first time for them to meet.)

 Show Ss the pictures of Eddie and Hobo.

 T: Who is Eddie?  Who is Hobo?

What is the yellow dog’s name?

What is the e-dog’s name?

Who is the master? (I have a dog. I am the master of that dog.)

Open your books and turn to page 6.Read the dialogue by yourselves.

 T: Is Eddie happy in picture 1? Why? (look after)

Is Eddie happy in picture 2? Why? (look after)

Act out the dialogue

Step 6

Teach A “Meeting new friends” on page 7

1. T: Who is the master of Eddie? (Hobo)

      Who is Eddie’s master?(Millie)

Show the relationship table.

   T: Millie is also a new student at Beijing Sunshine Secondary School. Do you want to know more about her and her classmates?

2. Show the pictures of the six students.

   T: Who are they? (They are Amy, Simon, Millie, Kitty, Sandy and Daniel.)

   Ask Ss to read the names together.

   T: What are they doing? (They are introducing to each other.)

   Open your books. Read the six students’ introduction together.

   Ask Ss to act it out.

3. Complete the dialogue.

Teaching steps:

Step 1 Revision

T: Good morning, A.

Ask Ss to greet in pairs.

T: What is your name?

   How are you?        (It’s a secret.)

How old are you?  

   Which class are you in?

   Which school are you from?

   Where are you from?

   How many people are there in your family?

   What is your father/ mother?

   What are your parents?

   What are your hobbies?

   What is your favorite color/animal/food/sport/subject/…?

   …

Step 2  

the Simple Present Tense of the verb “to be”

I am very happy to be your English teacher.

Are you happy to be my students?

Is he happy to be my student?

 Teach the Simple Present Tense of the verb “to be”(positive, negative, question)

Practice

Do you want to know more about your partner?

(encourage Ss to get some information about teacher and their partners using the Simple Present Tense of the verb “to be”)

Work in pairs.

Step 4

T: Where do you live?

   What food/color/animal/sport/subject/… do you like best? (like best= favorite)

   Do you like/love/enjoy cakes/blue/football/English?

Step 5

Teach the Simple Present Tense of the verb “to do”(positive, negative, question)

Kitty looks very small.

Sandy and Daniel wear glasses.

Amy has short hair./ Amy’s hair is short.

Sandy has her long black hair in a ponytail.

Kitty has her hair in two bunches.

Let’s know more about them. Listen to the tape and tell me what they like (=hobbies).

   Who is Millie? Look, her hair is very short. How old is she? Is she in the Reading Club? Is she the master of Eddie?

   Who is Kitty? She is small. Is her hair long or short? Kitty is a good student. Her teachers love her very much. Why? Because she works hard.

   Who is Sandy? Sandy is a lovely girl. She is very tall. Is she fat or slim?

Look at her hair. Is it short? What is on her nose? She wears a pair of glasses.

   Who is Daniel? Does he wear glasses? Is he tall? He often says “thank you” to others. So he is very polite. And when others need help, he often helps others. So he is also helpful.

Guessing game

(1) Who is he? Yaoming, Liuxiang.     Who are they? Zhenjie, Suntiantian.

(2) What are they good at? basketball/ running/tennis

Step 2

(1) Do you know other sports?

badminton, table tennis, football, volleyball, skating, skiing…

(2) Play a game “match” to see which group does the best and fastest.

(3) Which of them is a team sport?

Show Ss a picture of Yaoming.

   Is he tall or short?

   How old is he?

   Where is he now?

   What is his favorite sport?

   Is he good at basketball?

   Which team does he play for?

He is my favorite basketball player. I am a basketball fan.

If Yaoming scores/wins, I will be very happy.

Where can we get the information about Yaoming? How can we know what he is doing?

Step 2

Show Ss the picture of Daniel.

Who is he? He is Daniel.

Do you remember what he likes? He likes playing computer games.

He is not a football player. But he is a football fan.

I can tell you Daniel also likes playing football. His favorite football player is Frank. Frank is a football player in the school football team. Frank plays for the school football team. He is good at playing football. He often scores for their team. Today Daniel looks very happy. Do you know why?

Step 3

Why does Daniel look happy today? Because their school football team wins again.

Who plays very well in the match? Frank does.
