一、课型:Revision and writing

二、教材分析:

本课是一节模块复习课。在整个模块教学中具有举足轻重的地位。在第一单元的听说课和语法两个课时中,学生已初步了解单音节形容词的比较级的构成及用法,以听说的形式运用含单音节形容词比较级来谈论家乡和城市。在第二单元的读写课中,学生以课文为载体,通过阅读课文“My hometown and my country”,在读写训练中进一步理解和掌握单音节形容词的用法同时学习描写一个地方的相关词汇。本单元是运用本模块所学的单音节形容词的比较级和比较描述不同地方及其地理特征的相关词汇来进行各种形式的书面训练,从而提高学生的语言知识和语用能力。也就是说,本课对学生来说是一个对知识和技能的巩固和提升过程。

本课属于复习课型。复习的目的在于梳理归纳相关话题的词汇、语法,使之形成网络,同时在了解掌握的基础上通过在具体情境中完成一系列相关任务来培养学生综合运用语言的能力。因此,本课的重点应放在学生能运用本模块所学的词汇、语法以及比较法的描写表达方式来比较两种事物。

三、教学对象分析:

     在本课之前学生已学习了单音节形容词的构成及用法,并运用该语法进行了两次比较人物的简单写作联系;此外,在学完Unit 2课文后,学生有进行了“My hometown”的写作联系,掌握了描写一个地方的相关词汇,这对本课的复习提升奠定了必要的基础。利用练习法和归纳法使学生系统掌握并准确运用单音节形容词的用法及对比描写两个事物的词汇,从而实现本课的教学目的。学生在以往的写作课中已经掌握了基本的写作技巧,本课将帮助学生掌握比较法的写作技巧。另外,本课又一次为学生安排两个同学相关信息的对比写作练习和大连、北京两城市的对比写作练习,贴近学生的生活,容易激发学生对同学的关爱和对祖国各地的热爱之情。

二、教学目标:

(一)知识目标:

1 词汇:

1)掌握一个单词:fact

2)归纳并掌握描述“Places and geographical features”的词句;

3)归纳并掌握比较性描述“Places and geographical features”的词句;

2、语法:

1)归纳并掌握单音节形容词比较级的构成;

2)掌握比较状语从句的用法。

3)在具体语境中理解和运用含单音节形容词比较级的比较状语从句。

4、话题:  My hometown and country

(二)技能目标:

1 听:能理解含比较状语从句和描写一个地区人文、历史、地理等特征的听力材料。

2、说:能运用单音节形容词比较级以及比较状语从句来比较两种事物的方式来介绍两种事物。

3、读:能读懂含比较转股从句和介绍“Places and geographical features”话题的语篇材料,并能运用推断、跳读、略读等阅读技巧。

4、写:能根据所给事实性或描述性信息准确描写两种事物、介绍自己的家乡或一座城市。

(三)情感态度价值观目标:

1、培养学生热爱家乡之情和民族自豪感。

2、培养学生跨文化意识和国际化视野。

3、培养学生合作意识。

三、教学重点和难点

(一)教学重点: 熟练准确使用单音节形容词的比较级;运用形容词的比较级来描述对比两种事物。运用“Places and geographical features”话题下的功能词汇来介绍家乡或一个城市,完成本模块写作任务。

(二)教学难点:形容词的比较级在书面表达中的正确使用。比较法在书面表达中的使用。

四、学习策略:

(一)自学策略:归纳列举单音节形容词比较级的构成;提取归纳整理“Places and geographical features”话题下的功能词汇。

(二)合作学习策略:交流、合作完成比较两种事物的功能句。小组互评书面表达成果。

Activity 1: Summarize and check:

 1. Ask Ss to summarize the Comparative forms and then present their homework about the comparative form of all the adjectives learnt in groups.

【设计意图】让学生在课前归纳整理单音节形容词比较级的构成,既培养了学生良好的预习习惯,有培养了学生自主学习的意识,也加深了学生对形容词比较级构成的理解和掌握。将知识构建成系统网络也是复习模块一个重要任务和学习目标。

【设计意图】:

形容词的比较级是本模块的重点。在学完本模块后,学生应系统而准确地掌握它。其中一种途径就是借助变式的基础试题多角度地夯实该基础,为下一步的写作打下牢固的语言基础。

Activity 2: Summarize and check:

1. Ask Ss to work in groups , presenting their work about expressions for describing a country or a city including their position, population, be famous for , years of history, etc.

【设计意图】

让学生心痛归纳描述一个地方的习惯用于,实际上是引导学生建构此话题的功能句,这既是一个好的学习方法,同时对中下生突破写作表达障碍起到了关键的一步。同时课前为学生确定归纳提纲,是学生的归纳工作更有课操作性。

Step 2. Writing practice

Writing practice 1

1. Compare the two students and describe them

First of all, ask Ss to describe Wang Siyue, then describe Chen Lipeng .

Next, ask Ss to work in groups and work out the functional sentences used to compare two people.

  Finally, start to write.

 【设计意图】

这是本课写作前的热身。语法是为交际服务的。在学生学完了单音节形容词的比较级后,再为它们提供真实的语境进行写作(王思月和陈立鹏是班级两名学生),既复习巩固了语法,同时又使学生明确学习语法的目的,学以致用,无形中提升了写作能力。

Writing practice 2

对比描写北京和大连两座城市。

First, Ss find out the functional sentences for comparing the two cities. Then Ss begin to write. Finally, share and evaluate each other’s writing.

  【设计意图】

采用比较法介绍两地的人文、历史、地理特征是本模块重要的写作任务,同时也是有效复习本模块重要知识点和语法的一个很好的提高途径。功能句的合作整理既培养了学生的团队合作精神,又使中下生突破了语言表达的障碍,从而使全体学生整体跟上,有力地保障课堂顺畅进行。

Step 3. Homework

  • Copy the two writings on the composition book.
  • Finish off the workbook.

【设计意图】学生互评后的作文经过学生课后的进一步修改,第二天教师再次批改,相信学生在写作中会有一个很大的提高。
